Week 5: Portraiture #saf52weekchallenge

Swipe to the end to see my set up since I was WAY too lazy to get my backdrop set up 🤣 last one is a fun little collage cause why not??

This weeks Sony Alpha Female challenge takes us to portraits. I love portraits, but I wanted to think a little outside the norm for this one since I didn’t have a chance to work with someone else this week. So, I put myself back to the test and got in front of the camera.

Photography and videography are two things always on my mind (and Erik’s) So I said - why not put the camera on my damn head! Would make things so much easier, but for now we can pretend. 😉 In true Becky fashion, I took some goofy photos.

So as you can see I was way too lazy to get my studio backdrop up and going. So, I made a quick little makeshift one instead. I’m used to this since younger me never had a studio of her own and had to manipulate her surroundings to make one. Plus this gave Zelda some zoomies time since she kept messing up the bottom sheet 🤣

I’m going to bring my backdrop out from this point forward 💀 but I think it’s important for everyone to understand that you don’t always need something specific to create something.

It’s been so fun doing this challenge. I’ve been feeling so inspired by the many members in the Sony Alpha Female group who have been creating. I aspire to be just like them. ❤️ I can’t stress enough how much this entire challenge has been invigorating for me. This energy translates to all aspects of my work. Weddings. Portraits. Video. You name it. Creativity is a powerful and wonderful thing - so keep creating!
