𝐻𝑜𝓌 𝒹𝒾𝒹 𝒞𝒶𝓂𝓅𝒷𝑒𝓁𝓁 𝓅𝓇𝑒𝓅𝒶𝓇𝑒 𝓎𝑜𝓊 𝒻𝑜𝓇 𝓉𝒽𝑒 𝓃𝑒𝓍𝓉 𝓈𝓉𝑒𝓅 𝒾𝓃 𝓎𝑜𝓊𝓇 𝒿𝑜𝓊𝓇𝓃𝑒𝓎?
The abundance of leadership opportunities and practical experiences that I was offered, even as early as my second semester, have been vital in my development as an educator. These opportunities come thanks to the heavy student involvement in organizations on campus, especially the band program. Thanks to these experiences, I’m confident in taking on the next stage in my career. I have accepted the position of band director at a local middle school and will start this upcoming school year. 

𝒲𝒽𝑜 𝓌𝒶𝓈 𝓎𝑜𝓊𝓇 𝓂𝑒𝓃𝓉𝑜𝓇?
Dr. Ran Whitley is the embodiment of what it means to be a great teacher, but his impact on my education extends far beyond the classroom. His ability to give the perfect advice in any circumstance is just one of the qualities that has made him a trusted mentor during my time at Campbell. 

𝒟𝑒𝓈𝒸𝓇𝒾𝒷𝑒 𝒶𝓃 𝒾𝓂𝓅𝒶𝒸𝓉𝒻𝓊𝓁 𝓂𝑜𝓂𝑒𝓃𝓉
From my freshman year, I knew that I wanted my senior recital to be different. I wanted to craft a program that not only showcased my abilities, but was also enjoyable for the audience. Thanks to the support from many friends, mentors, and instructors, my senior recital this past November was something my freshman-self would have been proud of. The outpouring of support from my friends and family afterwards was incredible, and it’s an experience I’ll never forget. 

𝐻𝑜𝓌 𝒹𝒾𝒹 𝓉𝒽𝑒 𝒽𝒶𝓁𝓁𝓂𝒶𝓇𝓀𝓈 𝓅𝓁𝒶𝓎 𝒶 𝓇𝑜𝓁𝑒 𝒾𝓃 𝓎𝑜𝓊𝓇 𝑒𝓍𝓅𝑒𝓇𝒾𝑒𝓃𝒸𝑒?
Ever since my sophomore year of high school, I knew I wanted to teach music for a living. Demonstrating good character and taking initiative have both allowed me to serve in the leadership roles that I have. They have allowed me to work towards my calling, which I’ve been eager to reach for over 6 years now.
