Campbell has given me the academic knowledge and interpersonal skills that I need to become an effective teacher. From classes to campus jobs, I have had many meaningful experiences and learning opportunities to help me reach my goals. After graduating, I will work at Harnett Central High School as an English Teacher!

Stacie Wood is an adjunct professor in the School of Education and Human Sciences. She also happens to be my mom! She has always been there for me to help guide me to being the best teacher I can be to listening to me rant and vent about whatever is stressing me out. She has been incredibly impactful in my life. Shout-out to you, Mom!

I had the opportunity to work in Burkot Hall as a Community Assistant for 2 years. I absolutely loved my job. I loved helping the freshmen get acclimated to Campbell life. I met some of my best friends through the department that I couldn’t imagine living without. I also had the opportunity to network with some pretty amazing individuals within the department's professional staff. The CA job was hands down the most impactful experience I have had. If I didn’t work for residence life, I would not be as confident in myself as I am today.

When coming to Campbell, my biggest fear was that I wouldn’t be able to make friends. Tartan quickly proved me wrong as I was introduced to incredible people and new friends. Without the community, I would not have thrived. The tight-knit nature of the English department, staff, and students alike is what got me through the hard times. My professors truly care. My peers root for my successes. Without them, Campbell wouldn’t be a community.
