Big news, Tigers! Trinity is launching a brand-new study abroad experience: The Trinity Semester at Queen’s—coming Spring 2026!

Led by award-winning poet and English professor Jenny Browne, this immersive program places students in the heart of Belfast, Northern Ireland, where they’ll live, learn, and create alongside peers at Queen’s University Belfast. From the classrooms of the Seamus Heaney Centre to the vibrant streets of Belfast (and the breathtaking coastlines nearby), this semester is more than just an academic adventure—it’s a journey of cultural exchange, artistic exploration, and personal growth.

Why Belfast? It’s a city rich in history, creativity, and complexity—offering a unique “borderland” perspective that mirrors San Antonio’s own layered identity. Built around Browne’s course, “Writing in Place”, and including creative retreats at reconciliation centers, and a focus on the humanities, this program is perfect for students seeking meaning, inspiration, and connection beyond the classroom.
