Prime Minister Keir Starmer has been the first to secure an agreement with President Donald Trump, seeing some of the proposed snap tariffs axed, while others were rolled back. ⁣

UK car tariffs on exports to the U.S. reduced from 27.5% to just 10 - ‘[saving] thousands of jobs’ and levies on steel were scrapped. ⁣

While levies on U.S. beef and ethanol exports have been removed. ⁣
⁣
But, despite the progress, goods from the UK still face higher export taxes than they were prior to Trump’s tariffs. ⁣
