Happy National Tourism Day! 🧳

Today part of our Convention Center team took a step back in time with the “Hit the Bricks Tour” led by the incredible crew at Discover St. Charles. We explored the heart of our Historic District—where cobblestone streets meet captivating stories—and learned why tourism in St. Charles County is a $1.2 billion industry! 💸

From Louis Blanchette, our French fur trapper founder, to Daniel Boone’s frontier legacy, and the departure point of Lewis & Clark’s great expedition, Main Street holds centuries of adventure. We peeked into haunted corners, savored legends of covered wagons, and even visited the largest soda museum in the world. 🥤

Stops like Grandma’s Cookies 🍪 (voted #1 by USA Today!), the Foundry Art Center, Under the Yellow Umbrella, Cozy Shop, Moss, Jake's on Main,  and others reminded us how much local businesses contribute to our vibrant tourism scene.

St. Charles truly is the key to the west — and we’re proud to be part of a community that welcomes the world. 

We’re incredibly grateful for our partnership with Discover St. Charles—and we can’t wait to share the magic of this place with everyone who comes here for events, meetings, and conventions. Whether it’s a stroll through the Historic District, dinner at the Streets of St. Charles, or an evening in French Town, there’s something unforgettable waiting around every corner.
