Artificial intelligence (AI) is transforming sectors like health, education and industry —and it can also play a vital role in addressing climate change. From predicting natural disasters to tracking pollution and reducing waste, AI has the potential to lower emissions and support #ClimateAction.

However, while AI offers innovative solutions, it also comes with environmental costs: Data centres housing AI servers contribute to electronic waste, excessive water consumption and the unsustainable mining of critical minerals — all raising serious concerns.
