## Caption

Glad Lucia! Celebrated throughout the Scandinavian countries and other parts of the world, St. Lucia's Day is observed on December 13th and honors Saint Lucia of Syracuse, a martyr known for her acts of kindness. The celebration typically involves a procession where a girl, chosen to represent St. Lucia, wears a white robe, a red sash, and a crown of candles. The day is marked by singing traditional songs, serving special foods like saffron buns, and bringing light to the dark winter days, symbolizing the spirit of giving and kindness. How will you be celebrating today?
