Here is my first attempt at the January pose. 
I definitely have some work to do - that knee needs to be WAY straighter. 
This pose reminds me of when I used to figure skate; it's similar to a Y-stand (but I could never get my leg that high, so I called it a K-stand). I'm hoping by the end of the month that I will be able to have my back less hunched, my knee straighter, and my leg a little higher.•
