Meet Genna Quinn—a senior in Loyola’s Honors Program from Catonsville, MD, majoring in English with minors in political science and classical civilizations!

“One of my favorite parts of being a Greyhound is that both of my parents were students here first,” Genna shared. “Knowing that I share such a strong love for Loyola and its values with my mom and dad makes the experience extra special. Loyola and family are two words inextricably linked for me.”

Genna has thrived in several student organizations, including the LoyolaPreLawSociety, LoyolaMDRelay, and Green & Grey Society, Loyola’s presidential advisory board. Her favorite role has been serving as Senior Class President within LoyolaMDSGA. “SGA has provided me with an opportunity to connect with so many different people to collaborate and create meaningful change,” she shared. “My experiences within our SGA have allowed me to look at leadership through a wider lens. Whether presenting to a room of a few hundred professionals or supporting my team through one-on-one projects, I gained confidence and professionalism through my time on our SGA.”

“I chose Loyola because it offered me the perfect balance of strong academics, faith-filled values, and tangible opportunities for leadership. I have always loved Loyola’s focus on cura personalis, and I knew I would be supported as a student and an individual pursuing a robust life after Loyola,” she shared. One of her favorite memories: studying abroad in Rome, Italy—“one of the most incredible experiences of my life.”

After graduation, Genna will join Northrop Grumman as a Business Partner in Labor Relations in the Mission Systems sector, where she began working the summer after her first year. She strives to “thoughtfully practice cura personalis each day at work.”
