Road safety is everyone's responsibility.⁣
⁣
About two-thirds of fatal and serious injury collisions on our roads are the result of basic driving errors. That’s things like low level speeding, failing to obey road signs, and being distracted behind the wheel.⁣
⁣
106 lives have already been lost on Victorian Roads so far this year, that’s 5 more than the same time last year.⁣
⁣
Reducing your speed by 5km/h is all it takes significantly reduce the chance of being involved in a collision. And if you are in a crash, it may lower the severity of injuries.⁣
⁣
Tragically, three lives were lost over the weekend. And just this morning, three more lives were lost at collisions in Swan Hill West and Clayton South, marking a grim start to NationalRoadSafetyWeek.⁣

As part of National Road Safety Week, were urging all Victorians to prioritise the safety of all road users and take the road safety pledge.⁣
⁣
