## Caption

A real blow at a bad time.  Rest in peace #KoyoKouoh - who had been appointed to the position of and was set to announce the theme and title of her upcoming venice.art.biennale 
I met her once and was taken by her stunning presence, intense focus, and simmering insistent intelligence. 
We may be living in a time if Reconstruction - a moment of Black emancipation that, even as it is still forming, is already being question, tamped down, held in check.
