“🎉✍️ Big Congratulations to Our Academy Kids! ✍️🎉

We’re proud to announce that Ella Fitzgerald Middle School showed up and showed out at the inaugural All Write! writing contest hosted by the Training & Technical Assistance Center at Old Dominion University!

This statewide competition celebrated students learning through the Virginia Essentialized Standards of Learning (VESOL), with entries divided by developmental writing stages: scribbling, letter strings, invented spelling, conventional writing, and AAC.

Out of 124 entries from 12 school districts, 3 of our students were crowned champions in their divisions!
