Lions keep NWFL top spot with win over Warriors

The Birmingham Lions secured their second win of the season with a 16-2 win over the London Warriors in the National Women’s Football League Premiership.

Two touchdowns from Sophia Klair and a pair of 2PAT from Oli Davies carried the defending champions to victory in Saturday’s NWFL double header.

While the Teesside Steelers narrowly earned a 34-30 win over the Solent Thrashers, the 7’s league also got underway with the Peterborough Royals going 2-0 in their home tournament.
