Meet Levi Mellin, a UNC Admissions Ambassador who graduated this past weekend with the class of #UNC25 🎓🐏

What are you looking forward to after graduating?
After graduation, I am looking forward to taking some time to explore the world. Since my study abroad experience at UNC to Germany, The Netherlands, and London, I have been eager to travel to Asia and use my foreign language skills in Chinese to push myself out of my comfort zone and immerse myself in vibrant cultures. I have been wanting to travel across Asia since high school!

What are you going to miss about being a UNC student?
I am going to miss spending time with my friends on the quad in the spring. Whether we are soaking up the warm sun, eating a quick lunch, or juggling a soccer ball, some of my favorite memories at Carolina have been from spending time in between classes on the quad. You also can’t beat the quad’s blossoming trees in the spring!

What advice do you have for incoming students?
During your first few months on campus, say “yes” to everything (within reason of course). This small action will help you get out of your comfort zone to try new actives, clubs, or sports. Just by saying “yes” during my first year on campus was how I met some of my closest friends and became involved with some of my favorite organizations at Carolina.

How are you feeling right now?
I am feeling a mix of emotions right now. I am excited to start the next chapter of my life after graduation and take what I have learned both inside and outside of the classroom to create a positive impact in my future endeavors. However, I am sad to be leaving this campus, my friends, and the rest of the Carolina community.

What do you like most about being an ambassador?
I’ve loved meeting prospective Carolina students and families from across the United States and even the world. Everyone has their own unique story that I always enjoy listening to and it makes each tour feel different from the last.

Congrats, Levi! No matter how far you travel, just know you always have a home at Carolina 🩵
