Congratulations to Flatwoods Kennels & Training – our Small Business of the Month! 🎉🐾

Flatwoods Kennels & Training has set the gold standard for quality dog training and boarding in Lowndes County and beyond. From basic and advanced obedience to gundog training, therapy dog programs, and boarding services, their mission is simple: provide exceptional care at an affordable rate — all while serving the community they love.

As the area’s only dealer for Inukshuk dog food, Garmin Hunt/Fish, Huntmark training products, and Dakota283 kennels, Flatwoods has become a trusted name for dog owners across the South — with some clients traveling all the way from Texas!

What truly sets them apart is their heart. Their certified therapy dog teams regularly visit nursing homes, schools, hospitals, and first responders. After Hurricane Helene, their volunteers—many of whom had lost their own homes—stepped up to serve others. Now, Flatwoods is working toward establishing a 501(c)(3) foundation to offer even more support in times of need.

Through community care, exceptional standards, and unwavering dedication, Flatwoods Kennels & Training continues to raise the bar for what it means to be a local small business. 🐶

Congratulations, Flatwoods — and thank you for choosing to grow right here in Lowndes County!
