Shaver’s Creek Environmental Center and The Arboretum at Penn State aim to connect people with nature and encourage them to become environmental stewards. Shaver’s Creek serves as a living laboratory, actively engaging the Penn State community in hands-on experiences through internships, outdoor school programs, and SEED Semester. 

Similarly, The Arboretum at Penn State is a green sanctuary and educational center that promotes plant education, actively involving Penn State students in research projects, interpretive tours, and workshops, cultivating a sense of environmental responsibility.
