Alexis spent her summer interning with Grounded Strategies and providing environmental research support for community projects and workdays. Much of her research focused around wildflower planting and looking to the best, most sustainable practices in implementing a wildflower garden. In her video, Alexis relates her internship experience to the 𝗨𝗡 𝗦𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗚𝗼𝗮𝗹 #𝟭𝟭: 𝗦𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀.

City Semester students complete a 3–5 credit internship with community partners, tailored to their placement preferences, career interests, and skills. Internships are typically 20 hours per week but can be adjusted to meet academic program requirements.
