Chattanooga was recently named the first U.S. National Park City. The designation is bestowed by a foundation in London focused on spreading the ideals of parks to entire cities, and it’s unrelated to the National Park Service in the U.S.

A group of Chattanoogans has approached Mayor Tim Kelly to present an agenda aimed at bettering the city, helping it live up to the recently granted National Park City designation.
