Today, our 5 brave Greenpeace activists had their court hearing and follow up press conference for the peaceful direct action taken back in November 2024 to tell the world about the serious global plastic pollution at the #INC5 in Busan, South Korea. ⁣

Fast forward nearly 6 long months later, the activists still remain in South Korea now awaiting their final verdict.⁣
⁣
With only 80 days left until the resumed session  INC5.2 - which will take place in August in Switzerland - all member states must work to deliver a robust treaty that includes plastic production cuts to protect public health, ecosystems, and the climate for our generation and beyond.⁣
