⚠️ Taiwan now tops East Asia in AI Chip Emissions as TSMC, the world's largest contract chipmaker and a major supplier of AI chips to companies like NVIDIA, emitted 185,700 metric tons of CO₂e from AI chip production in 2024 - a number higher than the annual emissions from chip manufacturing of Japan and South Korea.⁣
