Today on the feast of St. Dymphna, we remember that struggling with mental illness does not distance us from God—it can draw us into deeper dependence on Him.

“Thus says the Lord, the God of David your father: I have heard your prayer, I have seen your tears; behold, I will heal you...” – 2 Kings 20:5

To anyone carrying the weight of anxiety, depression, or despair in any way: your pain is not invisible. God sees. God hears. And He is near.

St. Dymphna, patron of those with mental illness, pray for us.
