“Mrs. Pieroni’s warmth and positivity have been a constant source of support throughout my time at Canisius.”

The six 2025 Mr. Canisius finalists all had their photo taken with a faculty member during theirfinal week of school.

Here is why Patrick Enright ’25 chose Dean’s Office Manager Maria Pieroni. 

“Every day I walk into the Dean’s Office and I am greeted by Mrs. Pieroni, sitting at her desk with a welcoming presence and a joyful smile. 

“Her positive mindset, even in moments of challenge, has helped me continue to move forward with hope and joy. She has truly been a light and a source of happiness in my Canisius experience.

“I am incredibly grateful for Mrs. Pieroni. Her support and presence has helped make Canisius not just a school, but a community for me.”

Here are Pieroni’s thoughts on Enright, who is from Orchard Park, attended Nativity of Our Lord and is headed to Holy Cross:

“Patrick is the kind of student who leaves a lasting impression on everyone he meets. An exceptional athlete, Patrick is known for his perseverance – never giving up, no matter the challenge.

“But beyond physical strength, it’s the emotional and moral strength Patrick has shown that truly defines him. He’s faced personal hardships with courage and resilience, never allowing those struggles to harden his heart or dim his light. Instead, he’s grown stronger, becoming a role model not just to his classmates, but to the adults around him as well.

“He embodies the spirit of our school and the values we strive to instill in every student.”
