Physics degree, math minor, 3.5 GPA — all while marching with the Human Jukebox.

That’s the legacy of Lexci Ferguson, trumpet player, 2021 freshman class member, and now a Southern University graduate who defied the odds with excellence on the field and in the classroom.

Lexi’s time with the Human Jukebox transformed her into a confident, disciplined leader. Through long rehearsals, big performances, and a full course load as a Physics major and Mathematics minor, she never stopped pushing. Her passion for STEM and music collided to create a journey that was as inspiring as it was powerful.

Now, she’s headed to earn her Master’s in Mechanical Engineering at LSU, with her sights set on a career in aerospace engineering.

To future freshmen and upperclassmen, Lexci leaves this wisdom: Put God first, stay focused, knock out your work early, and remember, your degree is the goal.

Lexci, thank you for showing the world that brilliance and band excellence can go hand in hand. The Human Jukebox is proud of you.
