The six 2025 Mr. Canisius finalists all had their photo taken with a faculty member of their choice during the seniors' final week of school.
 
Here is why Jack Ganci ’25 chose Director of Campus Ministry Fr. Chuck Frederico, S.J.: 
 
“There aren’t enough words to describe the impact Father Frederico has had on me throughout my four years at Canisius. From day one in his freshman religion class he saw a greater potential in me that I didn’t even see in myself. 

“Father Frederico’s guidance helped me transform from a quieter kid to become the confident man I am today. 

“I will never forget the care he showed me and my fellow classmates.”
 
Here are Fr. Frederico’s thoughts on Ganci, who is from Buffalo, attended St. Mark School and is headed to Ohio State University: 
 
“Jack Ganci is a special young man. He truly exemplifies the Jesuit ideal of being a Man For and With Others.
 
“By giving of himself to others, Jack has experienced a transformative inner confidence that will guide his path moving forward. Jack leaves a legacy and has set an example for ALL of us to follow. 

“Jack inspires hope by his Canisius Journey and lives with faith, purpose and love. May God bless him and continue to give him courage for the journey ahead.”
