Say It Once Rescue League is a 501(c)(3)nonprofit organization dedicated to saving the lives of dogs through training, rehabilitation, and education.
We believe every dog deserves a second chance—and often, it’s dogs who end up giving people a second chance too. Our mission is to rescue dogs at risk of euthanasia, provide them with structure and stability through balanced training, and place them into loving, committed homes. We also work to strengthen the human-dog bond through outreach, advocacy, and education—especially in under-resourced and underserved communities.

Mental health—especially men’s mental health—is at the core of why this mission matters so deeply to us. Our founder, Vinnie, experienced firsthand the healing power of a dog after suffering back-to-back concussions that left him spiraling into anxiety, depression, and addiction. Prescribed over 20 different medications—including opioids he could easily refill as long as he paid cash—he found himself in a place darker than he ever imagined. But everything changed when a dog named Trigger entered his life. That dog didn’t just help him recover—he saved his life. And that moment sparked a lifelong purpose: to give others the same second chance through the unconditional love, structure, and companionship that only a dog can provide.
