We love this quote from Keith M. Stolte's book "Chicago Artist Colonies." Not only was the Fine Arts Building a buzzing hive of artistic genius from its founding in 1898,  as the gathering place for artists like Lorado Taft and Harriet Monroe, it continues to be a vibrant hub for Chicago's artists and musicians to this day.
