At the Vesterbro Fire Station of hovedstadensberedskab, a remarkable Metz DL 18 mounted on a Bobcat chassis is making waves! This specialized aerial ladder is designed for the tight backyards of Denmark’s capital, enabling efficient rescues and firefighting operations where traditional vehicles can’t go.

Only a select group of specialists are trained to operate this incredible piece of equipment—one of just two in Copenhagen! During our four-day EUROFFAD instructor training with the capital’s fire department, we had the privilege of getting an in-depth look and even got hands-on experience operating this amazing rescue vehicle. 🚒❤️

Fun fact: The Bobcat aerial ladder is also featured in the professional book “Aerial Vehicles - Training and Operations.”
