For World Turtle Day, we’re spotlighting 7 incredible student artworks that put turtles, and the threats they face, front and center🐢 From plastic bags floating like jellyfish to bottle caps tangled in flippers, these pieces show how pollution has become a part of how we see turtles today.

It’s no surprise: over 1 million marine animals, including turtles, die each year because of plastic pollution. Students in our Ocean Awareness Contest are turning this devastating fact into powerful calls for change. These 7 pieces are just a small glimpse of the nearly 38,000+ works submitted to Bow Seat that speak up for ocean life.
