At 22, Nomena is making waves in Madagascar by turning classrooms into gateways to the ocean. With Blue Days at Schools, she’s sparking a blue awakening—shifting focus from Madagascar’s famed forests to its vibrant but often forgotten marine ecosystems. Through interactive workshops and a captivating educational video, her project introduces students to coral reefs, seagrasses, mangroves, and their vital role in climate resilience.

Nomena’s goa is to cultivate a generation of ocean-literate youth who see marine conservation not as a distant issue, but as a local legacy worth protecting. Her video will serve as both a learning tool and an emotional journey, inviting young people to connect with their island’s blue heartbeat.
