Ever wish you could read your baby's mind? 🧠💭

We've been there! It can feel overwhelming not knowing what your baby needs. And being misunderstood can be frustrating for them as they're learning to communicate. But signing can make things easier.

Here's how to get started:

🌟 Kick things off with 2 basic signs that are very motivating for your baby. If your child is really interested in food, "more" and "eat" would be great signs to start with.

🌟 Say the words as you sign them to make the verbal and non-verbal connection.

🌟 Repeat signs (a lot!) and be consistent. The more your child sees you model the sign in real-time situations, the more likely they are to pick it up.

🌟 Follow their lead. If your child invents their own signs, use them. These signs will be more meaningful.

🌟 Help your baby with signs by gently guiding their hands.

🌟 Give it time. You can start using signs when your child is 6 months old, but it's OK and normal if they don't pick them up until they are between 8 and 12 months old.

And remember: The goal 🎯 of signing is to make communication easier between you and your little one. If your child is not interested in signing or seems overwhelmed, don't force it. You can always try again later! Signing should reduce daily frustration, not add more.
