1st Gen (1999–2007): The workhorse. Legendary 7.3L Powerstroke, no frills—just built tough.

2nd Gen (2008–2010): Short run, stronger frame, better interior, but the 6.4L had its flaws. (03-07 The 6.0L has a reputation for reliability issues, including head gasket problems, turbo issues…)

3rd Gen (2011–2016): Introduced the 6.7L, better towing, smoother ride—Ford started flexing here.

4th Gen (2017–2022): Big jump. Aluminum body, tech upgrades, quieter cabin. This Platinum proves it.

5th Gen (2023+): Full digital cockpit, towing tech that thinks for you, and a high-output 6.7L with 1,200+ lb-ft.
