The legacy of Three Chimneys Farm ✨ Gun Runner…a Champion, Hall of Famer and Breed-Shaping Sire…left his mark on the racetrack and now, he’s paving the way through his progeny. 

When Gonçalo Borges Torrealba purchased Three Chimneys Farm in 2013, the goal for him and his family was to breed Grade I-winning horses. The farm has played a role in breeding, raising or racing the likes of Wonder Wheel, Guarana, Early Voting and Gun Runner…just to name a few.

The next generation on the farm looks to follow in their hoofprints, including full-siblings to 2022 GI Preakness winner Early Voting: a Gun Runner filly, shown with her dam Amour d’Ete (photos 2 & 3); a yearling Gun Runner colt out of Amour d’Ete (photo 4). Also part of this year’s foal crop is a Gun Runner filly out of Bush Pilot, a full-sister to GI winner Gun Pilot (photo 5). Gun Pilot now stands alongside his sire, Gun Runner, at the farm (photo 6).
