We used artificial intelligence to bring this photo of Alpha Phi Alpha Founder Charles Henry Chapman to life.

Watch The Yard, is introducing a new project called BlackHistoryInMotion that utilizes advanced artificial intelligence to animate historical photographs of Black figures. 

The use of AI technology in this project adds a unique and innovative perspective to the way history is presented. By bringing these old photographs to life, we allow viewers to feel a closer connection to the figures and events of the past. It also allows for a more humanizing portrayal of Black individuals throughout history, showing their humanity and allowing them to be seen as more than just figures in a textbook.

In today’s digital age, it is important for history to be presented in a way that is engaging and accessible to all. The series aims to provide a more realistic portrayal of Black history and highlight the individuals who have had a significant impact on the community. 

👉🏾 As part of the launch, Watch The Yard will be animating images of the founders of the nine National Pan-Hellenic Council organizations.
