Joffrey Italy Artistic Director, Diego Salterini, originally from Rome, Italy, is the Artistic Director of Dance NOW! Miami. A former lead dancer and choreographer for Italian television and theater, he moved to the U.S. in 1997 and performed with noted companies such as Michael Uthoff Dance Theater and Momentum Dance Company. He has created over 50 original works presented across the U.S., Europe, and Latin America, and has reconstructed historic works by dance legends including Isadora Duncan and José Limón. A devoted educator with over 30 years of experience, Diego has taught at institutions like Miami City Ballet School, New World School of the Arts, and the Joffrey Ballet School, where he has been a faculty member since 2012.⁠
