Boeing has reached a deal with Justice Department to avoid prosecution following two crashes of its 737 Max planes. The agreement allows Boeing to avoid going to trial next month for allegedly misleading U.S. regulators about the jetliners before the crashes that killed 346 people. Instead, Boeing will have to pay or invest $1.1 billion, which will go to a criminal fine, crash victims fund as well as compliance and safety programs.
