2-day Itinerary for Mt Rainier National Park ⛰️

FIRST, SAVE this post for your trip to Mt Rainier and SHARE with a friend you’re visiting with!

Located in Washington and easily one of the best national parks in the USA, here’s a plan for visiting the park in a weekend!

Day 1: 📍Sunrise

Spend the day in the sunrise corridor, hiking the Burroughs Mountain Trail.

It’s around 15km, 1000m elevation gain, and involves three rolling mountains with epic views of Rainier and its vast glaciers. 🤯

You can add an extra couple of kilometres to view the mountain from the Fremont fire lookout. This would definitely be an awesome sunrise watching spot. 🌅

After the hike, drive to Paradise and stop off at one of the view points along the way to watch the sunset. It won’t disappoint.

Day 2: 📍Paradise.

In paradise there are lots of waterfalls you can drive to and hike around, including Narada Falls. Spend the morning/afternoon (weather dependent) looking at these before heading to the final hike of the trip.

The skyline loop is the most famous trail in the Rainier area, and for good reason. You can see the mountain in beautiful clarity at many points along the trail. 🤩

Panorama point also has unreal views of the mountain range that spans around Rainier.

Make sure you head to the Myrtle Falls viewpoint too for views of the mountain and a large waterfall in one!
