With the controversial ending to the Fever vs Liberty game, many WNBA are calling out the referees and demanding a change. I wanted to share with you guys an article that I found that honestly gives us so much insight into WNBA Referees… How they are hired. How much they make. They break down essentially why they are making the calls that they make, the influx of new fans, and Caitlin Clark.

There are 2 people that were interviewed and they’ve both worked with the NBA and WNBA referee sphere the last 20 ish years. They gave insights into everything that goes into the job, and how officiating in the WNBA became the hot button issue that it is now.

What do you guys think of this article, and what does the WNBA need to do to improve its officiating problem? Let me know in the comments!
