This week, former Surgeon General Vivek Murthy spoke on an episode of Meet the Press about the current mental health crisis in America. 

In the interview, Dr. Murthy emphasized the importance of eradicating loneliness, stating “the overall mortality increase that can be related to social disconnection, is comparable to the mortality impact of smoking and obesity.” He went on to say that the best way to tackle this issue is by forming and leaning into community.
