Cometocino de gay ( Phrygilus gayi)
Una de las diferencias que tiene el cometocino Patagonico con el de Gay ( Phrygilus gayi) es que el macho de este último tiene el lomo verde / amarillo además de tener los grises más claros.
En cambio el macho del Patagónico tiene el lomo de color naranjo oscuro.
