A man surrendered to police after an hour-long standoff in front of a gas station in Clovis Monday morning.

The man was wanted for assault with a deadly weapon and a description of his van was put out to officers.

Police spotted the van at the gas station at Fowler and Ashlan Avenues, and used their patrol vehicles to surround and pin it in.
