🔴UPDATE ON TEACHER 
  SHOT BY 6 YEAR OLD🔴
It’s been said for years that we don’t pay teachers enough, but we definitely don’t pay them enough to risk their lives trying to teach children. 

25-year-old Abigail Zwerner was teaching her elementary school class in Newport News, Virginia when a 6-year-old student allegedly drew a 9 millimeter pistol and shot her.

Security footage shows Zwerner heroically getting her class to safety even after suffering a gunshot wound. A witness says she turned around after leading her class outside to make sure no one was left behind. 

Zwerner then went to the school office and told them to call the police before she collapsed. As of Monday, she was in stable condition.

"She made sure that every one of those students was safe,” Newport News Police Chief Steve Drew said in a Monday press conference.

A GoFundMe for Zwerner has raised $100,000 so far.
