Rankings, Times, and Marks definitely matter when it comes to recruitment, but once you’re in college, all of those stats disappear. This post isn’t to knock Highly Ranked Athletes or discourage others trying to get there. It’s simply so you can understand that college is a blank slate where you have to prove yourself all over again. There is a process to it all and many times athletes who were ranked much lower in there classes out of high-school end up being better than top recruits from their class over a 3-5 year period. Strictly because they worked for it.
