I used to avoid sitting down in photos… because I couldn’t bear to see myself that way. Sitting made me feel bigger, more exposed, more ashamed. I thought if I just stayed out of the frame, maybe I could pretend it wasn’t that bad.

But the truth is, I was hurting - hiding from cameras, from mirrors and from myself.

Now? I still have insecurities. But I don’t let them keep me out of the picture anymore. I sit. I smile. I show up.

Because healing isn’t just physical - it’s learning to see yourself with softness, to take up space without apology, and to love the version of you who never gave up.
