Classes in Classical Ballet, Contemporary, and Street Jazz will connect the future of dance to the history of Ballet and the emergence of Contemporary Dance throughout Europe. Joffrey Italy faculty, Abby Gavezzoli, originally from New Orleans, moved to New York City at 18 to study dance at Marymount Manhattan College, focusing on classical ballet and modern techniques by Martha Graham, José Limón, and Paul Taylor. After earning her degree, she spent 16 years performing and teaching with Parsons Dance, touring internationally and contributing significantly to the company’s repertoire as assistant choreographer. She later danced for seven years at the Metropolitan Opera in productions such as Aida, Don Giovanni, and Rigoletto. In 2018, she relocated to Italy with her family, where she continues to collaborate with Parsons Dance and leads workshops and choreographic labs.⁠
