Timbaland produced Jay Z’s hit “Dirt of Your Shoulder”. He played beat after beat,  Jay eventually pick the perfect sound to pair with his lyrics. He was always amazed how Jay attacked beats, & that night he rapped over two. 

Times have changed now. Back then everything was tailor made for a particular artist. Now, you just send the beat pack over for an artist to pick from. I miss the good ole days.
