One of the most comprehensive Clinical Skills Learning Centers at a veterinary college is open to students 24/7 and staffed with friendly and knowledgeable coaches. The college’s Wildlife Medical Clinic is a unique volunteer experience that builds hands-on clinical and leadership skills, even for students who don’t plan to pursue a wildlife career. Several pathways exist to explore research experiences within or outside your coursework. 
There are also many ways to expand on classroom learning through dozens of student clubs devoted to species, clinical specialties, career-building, service, and leadership. 

Our dedicated student services staff is here to help you cope with the emotional and financial challenges of veterinary college and to find a successful career. Illinois offers great educational facilities, too, with technologies to support your preferred learning style. A hospital-wide expansion and renovation completed in 2021 includes a new small animal surgery wing and a state-of-the-art MRI and linear accelerator.
