These guys are beginning to act like they’ve been here before.

There’s a logical reason.

After winning back-to-back Section 1 Class D titles, Pleasantville graduated an extremely talented class. It was not the end of the run. Aiden Cotter, Nick Reich, Shane Mueller, David Hundzynski, Joe Sokich, Tyler Challice and Brian McPhee logged a lot of playoff minutes during the championship seasons and are chasing a separate legacy.

They all had moments Wednesday, May 28, during a win over Putnam Valley in a Section 1 Class D quarterfinal.

“It so important to have that kind of experience,” Pleasantville coach Chris Kear said. “They have all played a lot of really important games for us and they know what is required to win under that kind of pressure.”
