Every May, the childhood cancer community honors Brain Tumor Awareness Month. Radiation is a critical treatment for pediatric brain tumors; however, it can come at a cost. Radiation can impact the healthy cells of the developing brain leading to challenges with memory, attention, and learning. Here at ALSF, we recognize that finding new and less harsh treatments for children with cancer is crucial. Our mission is to fund the research that brings these to fruition.
