## Caption

My husband, Brayden, and I both grew up attending church. We knew there was a God, but we had yet to discover the life-changing joy of a personal relationship. 

One of our good friends had an enthusiasm for faith. Witnessing God’s transformative work in her life sparked a deep longing to experience it for myself, especially as she began sharing the love of Christ with our daughter, Nellie. Then our friend invited us to an Easter service at Hope, and witnessing it firsthand was contagious. 

We started to attend Hope regularly, and as time went by, I found myself drawing closer to God. I started to pray every day, talk to God about everything, and read the Bible more. I felt led to take the Alpha class, and I prayed every day that Brayden would feel led to take the class and deepen his faith as well. I will forever cherish the day he declared his commitment to deeply explore Jesus’ teachings and cultivate a genuine connection.

We are now reading the whole Holy Bible in a year and have both taken the Alpha course and reaffirmed our baptisms. I will be volunteering at VBS in July, and we’re gearing up for a life-changing mission trip with REVIVE, the young adult ministry at Hope.

Serving the Lord and our community fills us with purpose, and we are deeply grateful for Hope, the church community, and the transformative power of our relationship with Jesus. Our journey with God has not only shaped us into the people we are today but also fortified our marriage with an unshakable foundation.
